Just installed my new tune- WOW HOLY BOOST!- (Video)

Hey guys,

So this is only 2nd tune I have put in my truck since Ive started Modding it. I was previously running the IDP Aggressive Street tune- Which amazed me after driving stock since I had the truck.

Ive been reading alot of threads here about other Tuners... So I figured I would give Vivian over at Quick Tricks Loony Tune a try...

All I can say is WOW!!

My IDP Agg street tune Shifted firmer (Which I like) and would climb to 28#s of boost with the TC locked. Which I thought was freaking amazing!


Loaded the loony tune, and right off the bat I noticed the engine seemed to idle smoother (could be in my head) and shifted very nicely (Im going to have her firm them up for me a bit) The Pedal response is spot on. The loony tune seems to ease into the power better compared to the IDP tune which gave me a "Light switch" all or nothing effect. But when I push the skinny pedal down this thing FLIES!! Running 25-30MPH I can floor it and all it wants to do is get sideways

When I looked at my CTS and saw 32#s of boost my jaw dropped and I let out of the throttle!! Took a quick video after i saw that.. I Hope its ok for my Turbo to root this much!!

Yeah your fine. You know you can boost your shift pressure when you load the tune right.

I think you meant 28lbs of boost with the IDP tune right? I am running xstreet right now but I have been wanting to give the SRL a try.

No sir I did not know that.... I saw where it asked me if I wanted to Modify or something like that...

Can I plug the SCT back in and "Edit" the tune? Or will I need to go back to stock and then relode the Loony and modify the shift pressure?

Good Eye.. Yes 28#s. I dont think I would have a turbo OR head gaskets if it hit 38!! LOL

you should try Vivians "looney fuel" tune.

i run her looney track with early lock and hit 38psi and hold 36psi on stock turbo and sticks... even vivian don't know how my truck does it lol

How are you monitoring boost? Insight or in the intake?

Sounds good. I never see that much boost. I am pretty much 23-25 at WOT
