Batmowheel
Posting for a buddy whose thinking about getting a batmowheel for his 6.0. What are the benefits of a batmo and is it worth the 400?! How hard is it to put in on a 6.0 turbo? Thanks

It will only fit an 03 turbo as a direct replacement//\. All the other stock turbos require machining of the compressor housing to accommodate it.

Is that a significant upgrade, or would you just be better off with a stage 1 mtw or something. I wonder how the hybrid would compare to stock 03 turbo with the batmowheel.

The reason for this is because the compressor wheels for all of the MTW turbos are significantly larger than the stock turbo and more efficient than the stock turbo compressor wheel. In all honesty, it wouldn't even really be close. Yes there may only be a 25hp difference (at worst) on the dyno with stock injectors and a MTW turbo but the MTW turbos will flow more air for a broader power band and lower EGTs as well as better fuel economy as well. Hope this makes sense. |

Then comes the question of, Is a MTW stage 1 or Hybrid safe for those of us who don't have studs yet or is it just a failure waiting to happen?

you will be good. I have been running a Elite Vgt-ss turbo on stock head bolts for 3 year with no issues.

the larger turbo should be better on the tty bolts. shure there may be more boost, but also less drive pressure.
