DO NOT GET CUSTOM TUNES.

Unless you have a spare set of shorts. It's that much better. Seriously.

Lmao ^^ OP a tune writer will be able to disable the egr system on your truck through custom tuning along with the CEL that comes along with disabling the egr system.

I used to be very skeptical about how custom a 'custom' tune really was, but I gave it a shot. Vivian is a great place to start. Granted my trans tanked a week after I tuned it, but that could be unrelated. Generally the consensus is that tuned via sct, particularly custom tunes are better for the trans, as they tune that too. After running looney, and looney wild from quick tricks auto (vivian) I'm a proud proponent of custom tunes. I'll be contacting matt at Gearhead automotive (no relation to me or my screen name) and probably tony Wildman as well for a different flavor so to speak. Vivian is a great place to start, I'd highly recommend her.

Just looking for some clarification: Does the tuner have "Strategy Tunes"? If so under the "Adjust Options" menu it does not have the EGR Valve option?

Does it ask you if it a Excursion or F-Series?

Has the tuner been updated since you received it? Is it the most current Firmware?

I just purchased a 3015 and mine has the option... I dont want to update if its going to eliminate that option...

Sct sf3 has it under the adjust. Contact sct flash. Com. They will be able to help you and they are very customer service oriented.

These 6 liters are gonna become more valuable soon as the EPA is cracking down on The tuners.

My local duesel performance guy has had to drop the performance off of his name and advertise repairs instead.
