I haven't bought it yet but it's awesome that it's half off! Everyone talks bad about the edge tunes but I've had zero issues with mine.

It's not horrible but when your running it hard it will destroy your trans. And studs are required on everything even a stock rig.

I hear ya mace no issues what so ever...no tranny problems..and great mpg's on level five at least for me...although with runnin higher hp i am considering getting the tranny worked on...not sure what to have done to it yet i havent been studing it for to long...people say that the edge cannot keep up with the shifting...i havent seen that i did turn the firmness up all the way for shifting...and from what i've read bill at php has some killer tunes for the edge...and i think for fifty bucks whats there to loose on the hot unlock...prob. get on monday...lol

It never shifted good and would slam and slip god the list goes on. Edge doesn't have the trans tuning like a sct tune. Back when I ran the edge it did get killer mileage compared to the sct though

thanks for the info...i'm gonna pull the trigger on it monday....like i said i havent ran into the trouble yet with the tranny...like i said i tweaked it alittle on the tunner for the tranny but i also left defueling on if there is a slippage...so i'd really like to get one of php tunes for it i believe he can put in there an egr delete to take the engine light off...so far i'm really happy with the tunner but all i've had before this was a predator on the truck when i bought it that thing was crap

From what little I have been able to find across the many PSD forums everyone says the edge kills the tranny because the old ones didn't tune the tranny like the current ones do. As long as I build a custom tune and do slight pressure adjustments to the shift firmness the tranny feels fine and doesn't ever slam into gear.

It's definitely not a replacement for a true custom tuner like the SCT but for what it is I'm happy all I ever really use it for is the economy tune. I can't complain about the mpg with the thing I've gotten 23mpg on a straight flat highway run. Around town i get 19mpg no problem.
