Powermax turbo

I have an 05 6.0 f250 and been wondering why my mileage sucks.. I've got an egr delete coolant filter studs powermax turbo injectors intake and exhaust but no tuner or programmer. And my mileage isn't the best. I went from a 96 7.3 and I beat it up bad but still got better mileage. What could be the problem no programmer with the bigger turbo???

That's your problem the Powermax needs tuning to run optimally. If you don't have tuning for the powermax and injectors than your not going to get the best performance (fuel economy and engine efficiency) out of the truck. I would strongly recommend a SCT programmer with custom tunes from the tune writer of your choice. If you need help in choosing a programmer or where to get one let me know and I'll get you hooked up!

That's what I kinda thought. And also it bogs a little when going through the gears. So that's probably what It is.

Yeah because the tuning isn't right for the turbo. You would be amazed at the difference tuning makes on the truck.

How bad is your mileage. Stock tuned 6.0s aren't exactly known for great mileage. I agree that tuning would really wake that truck up.

Get a SCT 3015 ( we have plenty ) and one of Matt from Gearhead Automotive tunes, you'll have plenty of power and mileage and no smoke.

Go with Matt at gearhead. He can tune the crap out of a pmax and has all the lag gone! I have tunes from everyone else including the company stated above and they all produce lag except ~~~~> tsd & matt@gearhead he dominates by far.
