What tuner are Manual ZF6 6.0 guys using?

Looking into getting sct with custom tunes, but I think i am going to get ripped off becuase i would be paying full price for something that tunes both engine and trans when only i need engine tuning. With that said im considering the edge evolution cts or bully dog triple dog gt. Thoughts?

I would recommend the Edge CTS as a monitor and an SCT as a tuner. You could also try the Livewire TS or Dashboss.

He has the ZF6 6 speed manual trans. That said a SCT with custom tunes will still out perform a Edge juice or Bullydog or any other canned tuner for that matter. If your looking to get a programmer let me know I can get you set up with whatever you need.

Exactly right!
And if you add studs, injectors, turbo, ect, ect. down the road with the SCT you can just get new tunes written for your upgrades... the off the shelf tuners are written for stock trucks so they wont help and you'll end up regretting buying it.
SCT is the way to go
I would get the new Livewire since it has gauges and tuning all in one

I probably would not upgrade the turbo or bigger injectors down the road.. its a stick.. its not fast like an auto and never will be because i lose boost during shifts and im not looking to hammer my stock clutch. Think about it.. Sct tuner.. 310, 1 custom tune.. 75, edge cts.. 400, Im at close to 800 vs $500 bully dog triple dog gt. And ive read that the edge and bully dog tuners have crappy trans tuning, but i would not need to worry about that on my truck

Yes, but you skipped the studs...If/when you stud it, you can get stronger tunes.
Just comparing apples to apples. edge/bully dog to a SCT with unstudded tunes, the sct is alot more powerful and safer on your engine!

plus, get the SCT Livewire 5015.. It recently came out and is a gauge AND tuner. The best out there now. I want one
AND.... ONLY $600.. So, for only a hundred more bucks, you can get the best!

Now look at me, in the past month I've studded my truck, upgraded injectors, and turbo, and bough a T.T. to haul...

Do you plan on going with a EGR delete in the future? Depending on the 05 strategy, your CEL may stay on when deleted. The Edge, Bully Dog, Banks, any generic tuner won't be able to keep the CEL off.

Thanks for the post im probably going to go with that. Yeah im looking for a gauge/tuner in one. Custom tunes really are the way to go I had an 04 6.0 automatic with truck source diesel "mild panty dropper" tune and the truck was a rocket and smoke was really minimal. Compared to the canned sct tune, which was slower and smoked alot more. So yeah custom tunes really are the way to go manual or auto. Never looked into the livewire untill i saw that, thanks
