Larger exhaust on a stock motor?

Does anyone here run a 4 or 5 inch exhaust on a stock 6.0 without a tuner or studs? Reason I'm asking is I got some extra birthday cash and was thinking about the MBRP 5" turbo back kit. I do not currently monitor EGT's.

I ran my exhaust with a completely stock motor for 9 months. No need to monitor egts with the stock tune either IMO. It doesn't get near hot enough. Get the exhaust. You'll love the sound.

+1 ----- I ran my exhaust for over a year bone stock. I put a muffler on it and didn't like the way it sounded so I took it off and it sounded like a fighter jet!!! Great sound.

I ran a 4" down pipe to a 5" straight pipe for a few months before I tuned my truck, no need to monitor EGTs, stock tuning doesn't get hot enough.

P.S. You are going to LOVE the sound of a straight piped 6.0!

diamond eye wil work fine. and about half the price. you can get a full kit for 320 from ptp

I got the 5" turbo back with 3.5" down pipe aluminized from xdp for $480 shipped. One thing I will say if you have kids it's a little hard to get them to fall asleep in the truck after straight pipeing it!!

Im stock pipe just no cat with a through muffler, almost as loud as my buddies straight piped truck. My truck will put my 6month old to sleep in a heart beat!

The 5" diamond eye kit has a 4" down pipe. I've noticed it's cheaper than the mbrp and I love the sound. It was my first mod. LOVE it!
