SCT SF3 wont load custom tunes? Failed to write data error?

Was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before?

Im trying to load a custom tune(looney) from vivian at quicktricks and i keep getting an error on the SCT device updater when i try to transfer the tune...

Heres the error in full

system.io.ioexception:failed to write data
at SCT.IO.Livewiredriver.writebulk(INT32pipe, Byte [] data)
at SCT.IO.Livewiredriver.Sendcommand(USBcommand cmd, byte [] data)
at SCT.IO.Livewiredriver. send file(string file, byte[] data)

The SCT device is older it seems and used, but is unlocked and had 4 unlocks left? i updated the firmware already....dont know what else to try...

anyone have any ideas? its driving me crazy, was going to be my first try at a custom tune...........

Just asking....if your battery voltage drops below certain level it can cause havoc on loading tunes or even wipe out your PCM . Not saying thats what is going on but do you guys have good strong batteries ? And you can call SCT costumer support those guys are pretty helpful. Ive loaded alot of costume tunes and many different things has popped up and those guys have always been nothing but stand up for me in the past ! Also check with guys that sent you the tunes, alot of times they are more than helpful to....

The problem isn't loading tunes to the truck the problem is loading tunes from the computer to the device. The custom tunes came from Vivian and she sent me another tune to make sure. I've tried with a different computer and I get the same problem, called SCT and they don't know what the problem is and will have to engage a software guy to see if the can make a work around but not hopeful since the don't support this device anymore. Hoping since this was a old post someone else had a answer?

Its never easy... I would call SCT they can usually pin point the problem.

Mine was a missing file.

Try a different computer and/or cable. Use a Windows XP or 7 computer of you can.

I have tried different computers, operating system, drivers, and even the cable, SCT even took control of my computer and tried different versions. Problem is it's a old device and they don't support them anymore so they are not writing software for them anymore. The original poster has the exact same tune and error I am, surely he's gotten it fixed since 2012! Hoping he would see this and remember what was found on his.

For anyone in the future the right SCT guy will know what to do! They had to reformat the memory of the 9600 by adding a special file to it! Once done the new looney wild tune is amazing!!!
