Yet another programmer question

Hello my fellow diesel fanatics I have yet another programmer question for y'all. I know there is a lot of info out there but I'm a novice and a bit overwhelmed. I have a 2006 6.0 bone stock. I want to be able to monitor all the trucks "vital signs" to make sure it continues to run tip top, I'd also like to tune it for maximum fuel mileage being I drive quite a bit. I've been looking at the displays that goes on to the dash like the SCT live wire. I guess I'm just looking for pros and cons of each type of programmer and exactly what I need to monitor to make my truck run for many years to come.

Personally I like to monitor with the EDGE Insight and tune with the SCT. I do have autometer guages to back up the Trans temp, boost, and egt readings. You will get the best Mileage out of a performance tune but you will have to use a little restraint when it comes to the pedal on the right!
