shifting trouble after custom tunes installed
I installed Vivian's Looney, and IDP's Street tune on my 06. After the installation of both of these tunes the transmission will not shift right under WOT. If you're just driving normally it will shift fine. I tried letting the transmission "learn" but I have not had any luck. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas. Thanks.

Try this, it's a copy/paste from another forum. It was recommended by Ron at Suncoast.
Anytime you upgrade your transmission it needs to relearn how to shift. Find a open area Do 0 to 45 at about 1/4 throttle. Stop and do it over again. You will end up doing it like 15 or 20 times, but each time the transmission will change how it shifts until it starts getting it right. One the light throttle seems good, go back and do about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Once that is done, you should be good to go. If still have issues, contact your SCT tune writer and let them know what's going on. Sent from my iPhone using Autoguide |

It took me a few rounds with IDP to get it to shift right. I did similar 'relearn' procedures in between.
When I uploaded Matt's SRL, it shifted fine the first load. Sent from my LG-VS700 using AutoGuide.Com Free App |

I reloaded the tune, then did the learning curve for the transmission. It shifted great after that. But now I have killed the pickup, and when I get back in it won't hardly shift and keeps a constant 25psi of boost. Any ideas??

Could you explain what you mean by "a few rounds"? You mean having IDP tweak the file or what? |

Seems, imo, ID focused on making tunes for the 6.4 crowd and built 6.0liters that went down the track or pulled a sled, and the basic stage 1 6.0L tunes got tinkered with here and there but never really caught up. Jmo that will probably piss some people off but I'm sure some will agree.Haven't gotten a tune from Vivian, yet. |

Alright, I have returned the pickup to stock, but it still won't shift!!! What the heck is going on?

Could have been an existing problem that the added power would have exposed. If it is an existing problem, it might not be tune related.

What codes are coming up?
Going a few rounds meant Eric sent me tweaked tunes based on my feedback until it shifted right. Have you contacted the tune writer? They most likely know more about this than we do. Sent from my LG-VS700 using AutoGuide.Com Free App Last edited by Karls03; 10-24-2012 at 10:42 AM. |

Check to see if there are any "trans codes", you basic OBDII code reader isn't gonna read the TCM.
