More power for 6.0

Hey im new here and am looking for some more power for my truck. I have the bully dog tripple dog with outlook monitor, bully intake and dual 4" exhaust. i love the set up, and have never lost a race to any other truck with these similar mods, including a banks dodge and a edge ford, i even take 150 harleys . but i still want more power with out blowing my truck up. i was thinking about either a 100 shot of through the intake or 80 of propaine. will my engine handle this or will i need to mod other parts? any suggestions would be great.

You will probably have to get headstuds before going any futher. Also, you'll need to think about beefing up the tranny some. With that much torque, it won't last long.

I agree on the headstuds, your stock ones may hold up but new ones are never a bad idea with added HP.
I wouldn't worry about the tranny, rebuild it after it craps out and put some extra beef in it.

you are for sure going to need studs with either propane or nos. You might want to look into getting a custom tuned sct that can give you some more power plus you're transmission will thank you. Don't forget about water meth injection.

I agree with the above suggestions. Studs are gonna be a must if you are going to go any further with your mods. I also suggest looking into the SCT with custom tuning. It wakes up the 6.0L like no other IMHO. I am sure there will be others along with their opinions. Good luck with your mods.

I'm not a big fan of adding drugs, but to each their own. They do add more power... I think you could see somewhere around another 20-40rwhp by switching to an SCT tuner with good custom tunes. Also your tranny will respond much better with an SCT vs the bullydog I think. The HP may not seem like much but you'll definately notice the difference on the ole "butt dyno" when you race it. And yes, if you're considering NOS, H2O/Meth, or pane you really should stud your motor first. I don't think your heads will stay seated long if you don't.

thanks everyone for the advice, i went to a local store and they said the same about the studs so im ordering them. i have never heard of water/meth. what is it and what are the ups/downs like improved gas mileage? Also what is sct tunes. when i was looking at chips no one at any store ever mentioned them yet every one here recommends them. so where can i find them with these custom tunes for my truck, do i have to have someone come take out my bullydog kit and replace it and program a custom sct?

Call either of these vendors for info about SCT. They can give you all the information you'll need.

I am running Innovative Xtreme street program and you can see my 1/4 mile times in my signature. That was only launching at 4 psi.
