MBRB turbo back exhaust rusting!!

Hey guys, anyone else have this issue? I bought the stainless system from Discount Power Parts.com
I've emailed them and go no response. I purchased all of my mods from them and this is the first issue with anything. The exhaust is almost a year old and is rusting up and down the entire exhaust. Im anal about keeping my truck clean and it has never been off road. Anyone have any issues like this?

If it's 409SS then that's what you're going to deal with. If it is 304SS then you have a problem. Every 409 system that I have seen gets rusty/pitted. It won't rust through but it looks like hell. If I had it to do over again I would spend the extra dough for the 304!

How's that truck doing otherwise? We haven't heard from you for a while.

MBRP is pretty good with their warranty stuff.. I'm on my second 304SS system from them (cat back on my 5.4L gasser and turbo back on my 6.0) I havent had any issues like that. I'd get in touch with their custmer service dept in Huntsville. They might be able to help you out.

Pat is usually very fast to respond.. have you tried leaving a message with them? also what kind of metel did you buy for your exhaust... only the 304 SS will not rust.... thats why its more expensive

The T409 will rust up the same color as your stock system. But it's still good stuff. Just put a BIG LONG tip on it and no one will see it!

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I got the more expensive T304. And the bad news is I have a 6" lift with 20" wheels and 35's so everyone can see the exhaust, lol..

Things are going good. Business could be better, but it's a tough construction market here right now.

I don't know if you've seen it, but a bunch of us are headed up to Cecil County Dragway on Saturday morning for the test & tune. We met up 2 weeks ago on a Friday night. It's a good time.

Oct. 27th Cecil Dragway MD Test-n-Tune
