Smoke Stack Help

So I finally gave in on getting a stack. My buddy took it off his cummins he just bought and said here ya go! While i was looking under the bed, there seems to be some sort of cross bar/plate that holds up my fuel the (or supports it) and it's kinda in my way to run the pipe. Any ideas or am I doing it wrong?

It's a tight fit around the crossmember but mine is 5 inch pipe up to my stack so I made it fit, had to bend a heat shield from where the muffler would be.
