Best OBD2 gauge
I am looking to monitor some of the critical readings on the 03 6.0 diesel engine. I have read a lot about different gauges, and wanted to see what you guys think.
Is an OBD2 gauge as good as the physical ones that read things direct? I would like to take the gauge to different vehicles in the future should I upgrade trucks so are they all universal and easy to move to another vehicle? I have been looking at the scangauge and wondered if the 2003 6.0 port will even read from it. I read recently on another search here "The code reader has to be C.A.N. compatible. I ran into the same problem and went to three different people with readers and they wouldnt link to the computer". 2003 6.0, OBD2 problems. If this is the case I may not be able to get any OBD2 gauge to work. I have Torque on my android phone and a OBD2 reader that works on my car but did not want to work on this truck.

If you have an Iphone, Ipad, Ipod or any apple product check out dashboss. You can monitor up to 24 PID's at once and can add EGT and fuel pressure

I have Android devices and use torque app on other obd2 vehicles I have with a Bluetooth obd2 reader. I just had trouble connecting to my 2003 6.0 obd2 port. I wondered if it is obd2 compatible ? If not I may not be able to use any obd2 product. I have read about a C.A.N. scanner that works but they don't sound common.
