I have a 03 f250 6.0 cc long bed fx4. next year I'm going to trade in my 21 ft weekend warrior and get a 36ft or so fifth wheel I want to know what mods like intakes programers I can use to tow it good and won't hurt my truck I've been reading and a lot of you go with sct programers but witch one live wire, xcal2 what is the diffrence between the two any help would be great thanks

i have an 03 6.0 and tow a 26' toy hauler. i have the sct xcal2 and it works great. the livewire displays all your gauges and more but for the money i would go with the xcal 2 and gauges. only thing you have to worry about is
1 get gauges
2 lower your coolant level if you already havent

i had the edge but love the sct way better. it has more power and better gas mileage. i still use the edge for gauges only. i ordered from dj's but im told innovative has better tunes. dont know how true this is but im sure there all about the same. im not trying to bash dj's and vivian there is super nice to deal with. hope this helps and good luck. let us know how it works out.

I have towed as much as 16,500 lbs with Innovative's Tow Agrressive tune. I never saw EGTs more than 1150 even on a 90 degree day. Tranny temps never got above 186 on long pulls up steep grades. The tow tune doesn't seem like a big boost in power with an empty truck, but towing 16.5K it really shines.

I think the Tow Aggressive adds like 70 hp, but numbers don't mean as much to me as how it feels to me.

It doesn't matter where you order it from. It does not come ready to roll out of the box. Once you receive it you will need to check your trucks strategy then send that strategy to a tuner of your choice and they will get you set up with a custom tune and the directions to upload it onto your truck.

also fordmugg, I would recommend a coolant filter being one of the first mods you do. I hope to get mine done next month. oh and don't forget about a 4" turbo back exhaust, you'll LOVE the way your truck sounds. all the 04.5+ guys wish they had our turbo! lol

yeah my truck is running straight pipe so the turbo sounds crazy..yeah it was like that when I got it

what is the coolant filter? never heard of this
