1. 2004 with 92K
2. Flush with VC9 in Nov 2011
3. 1100 miles

New IPR filter setup. Will clean out again after return trip from OK.

That is real nasty! You will be pulling out more contaminantion for at least another 15 times of filter cleaning, our test truck looked like that. We are still finding stuff in the filter to this day.

Here are some pictures of the coolant filter, if you see in the pictures the top magnet has came unglued along with the top filter housing. This won't hurt anything will it, do I need to try and glue them back on? Anyways just wanted to put these pictures up.

You can use JB weld for the magnet. The coolant gets hot when plugged and can cause the glue to get undone. Do not glue the cover back on, its best to leave it apart makes cleaning more accessible. Once everything is installed back into the housing the metal spring clip will apply tension and keep everything together.

05 IPR COOLANT FILTER

cleaning my ipr filter . my system is far beyond out of control .. after photos I did the full flush simple green --restore---vc9--and 12 hours of flushing and 1.5 hours of back flushing on everything .. if it was listed as a good flush step i did it . i must say system is now clean

ipr coolant manifold

im curios about the coolant manifold.do you have egr cooler? if not can it be used with one?

as far as i know, it can be used with a cooler but NOT the IPR gen 2 delete.

so if you have a stock oil cooler and you are using the coolant manifold and it becomes plugged will it cause any major problems? im a little confused on how this would still be a bypass filter in that configuration.
