got my custom tunes
2007 F250
ordered my custom SCT 3000 with custom tunes. I loaded them and tried them all Eco, tow,& street, They all have no added power until almost half throttle, the truck downshifts and comes alive. problem is i dont like running my truck at 2500RPM and close to 30 psi of boost. I had a bullydog tripple in the truck before and it had good power from a start but it shifted a little off. What do I need to do to get that power and the shifting of the custom tunes? should i change my strategy: vxcf4x3 (wish it had never been reflashed) ask for a diffrent kind of tune? or try diffrent tune writers? I didnt list the writer of these tunes because i want to give him a chance to get it changed. need yalls opinions, advice, experience yall have had with tunes Thanks for any of these you can give |

who did your tune?
what is your current strategy? what was your strategy before the reflash? who did the reflash? If your running a vxcf9 I will tell you the strat is not the issue it's the FICM code that Ford loads at the same time. You will most likely need to tune your FICM if that is the case because no matter what strategy tune you run the FICM code will always be there. I personally like vxcf9nz based tunes as the power comes on alot smoother than a vxcf4 base. and to be the off idle throttle response is better with a vxcf9nz |

Something else comes to mind. If you had a inferred strategy before and now your a non inferred (vxcf4xx) I would check your EBP sensor and tube if you know your turbo is clean and not sticking. if the EBP sensor is bad and can 't read right will cause things to not run right.

when i bought the truck it was quick and responsive as a stock truck. Had a friend give me the bully dog to try. That was my first mistake. I updated the bully dog and put it on my truck and didnt care for how it reved up between 2nd and 3rd gears when shifting. I took it back off and noticed immediately the power loss from what was my stock strategy. From the info i have gathered the bully dog will reflash ur strategy with whatever they have in there updated file. I am unsure what my original strategy was but i can sure tell the diffrence in power and mileage.
