Edge Insight question,

Can the Edge Insight read and display all error codes that the truck can produce? Or is their some that you have to go to the dealer to find.
I hit the read codes part on mine and it comes up no codes found. Could it possible... Or am I not working something right?

The Edge Insight will only pull hard codes (codes that cause a check engine light). It will not pull soft codes (like FICM voltage being out of spec or something). You'll need a more powerful scan tool for those codes like an auto enginuity.

I should correct my statement. I was intending to say that I wouldn't buy it for pulling soft codes. I know I couldnt pull the code for when the cam and crank dont sync together and my cam sensor was acting up. I guess it can pull soft codes but which ones, I couldnt tell ya.

Sorry for the confusion.

Which ones were you able to pull Chris??

a soft code will only store the code in the PCM but will not throw the CEL. A hard code will both store the code in the PCM and throw a CEL.
