Quick php ficm programmer question

I'm about to buy a php from someone locally. Do they work on all 6.0's? Are they vin locked? Is there anything I need to know?

$350 isn't too bad either? Considering they are $399 new and have to wait for it. Thanks, Tyler

No just have him take his truck to stock. Make sure when you tune yours you pull the FICM relay out from under the hood before you tune and then put it back when done. It is kind of hard to forget because it tells you on the screen but just making sure you know now.

This might be a dumb question. But can I use it as gauges? If so will my pyro work?

Another crazy question I can't send my cs to bill to get ficm tunes on it can I?

If you are buying used, realize you are rolling the dice. I believe it does lock to the truck if its tuned.

Ensure the FICM relay is pulled, failure to do has are a 1 in 4 chance of frying the #1 injector among other things.

I can be run as gauges, like the legacy edge units, 4 PIDs, not sure about the quantity of PIDs it will monitor. EGT may depend on the probe you have, I'd contact Bill for that answer.

Bill cannot reprogram the CS or CTS units at this time to become FICM tuners.

The Gryphon FICM tuner will work on all 6.0's. It can only be tuned to one truck at a time. So in order for you program your truck, the prior owner must return his truck back to stock FICM programming.

I have confirmed this with Bill at PHP, and also tested it out on another truck.

You choose the year once you start the programming...

The programmer has 4 tunes, Econ, atlas40, atlas80, and Hercules. Then it has 3 group years, you will choose your year based on your motor/ECM year.

The 03-early04 motor/ECM have a ECM strategy staring with VXA, you will use the 03 FICM tunes. The late 04 motor/ECM strategies start with VXB, you will use the 04 FICM tunes. The 05-07 motor/ECM strategies start with VXC, and will use the 05+ FICM tunes.

Should have my programmer in the next few days! Im curious to see what I'll gain. I'm running srlxx so i suppose I'll load up the 40 first. Then go for Hercules. I'm running vxan0. Wondering if this will help My smoke issue any.
