Truck source diesel tune advice

Going to Tsd new place and getting live tuning.

Going with the mild panty dropper since I'm not studded.

I know most of y'all have the Spd and not the mild panty dropper .

But what advice y'all got ? How's his shifting? Did y'all have to tune down the shifting? And did he ever fix his issue with the shift flare I always hear
People having with his tune?

Thanks

I'll put in a vote for Matt's SRL. Doesn't dissapoint, great power along with mileage and nice firm shifts

What are they charging you for live tuning, vs. what the standard tuning would cost you?

Reason I ask, is that your truck isn't studded, and doesn't have any modifications I see that warrant the expense of live tuning. I don't see you gaining much, if any useable power on the live file vs. their standard tune and working through flaws via e-mail.

You're not gonna benefit anything from live tuning on a stock truck. Eric at Innovative told me he'd expect maybe an extra 5 HP.

I have both live tuning from Chris and tunes from matt (SRL++ Extreme) and I really like both of their tuning. Chris is a great guy, youll have fun live tuning it. But I wouldnt live tune it without studs, I'd just get mild, or one of Matt's tunes...both are awesome tunes

I realize it's not out of your way tyler, but I think you are wasting your time and money getting your truck live-tuned at this time. You'd be just as well off getting the file from Chris via e-mail, and be just as happy with it in the end.

My rule of thumb, is live tuning is a better investment when you have either a truck that simply isn't responding to an e-mail file, or you have upgraded the turbo or injectors and want to get maximum performance of the pair, along with the other individual modifications.

Live tuning takes a bit of time and investment on the shop and the customer, make sure you know what is realistic to be had out of it, and how long its going to be before you modify the truck again - which makes your live tune less cost-effective.

On Edit: This is not a shot against the tunes, they have a great reputation, just the advise that live-tuning isn't necessary at this time.

They studded my truck and I have their tunes. The shifting if firm but doesn't feel like you're going to break something. I'm satisfied with how my truck runs.
