Does it matter who I have do my custom tunes as far as DJ or Jody or elite diesel or whoever? And what is data logging on the new SCT xcal 3? Thanks everyone

Ive heard lots of good things about DJ's and Innovative. Im running the xtreme street tune from innovative and I love it. I have an xcal 3 and I'm not sure about the datalogging either.

The xcal2 will datalog but you need to be hooked to a laptop to do it. The X3 will datalog on it's own without the computer. That's how I understand it anyway.

I'm running tunes from Eric at Innovative. I have his tow, econo, and street tune. So far, I've only run the street tune. It has good some good power, and it's what he recommends to keep everything "safe". I didn't notice any drop in mileage, and the shifting is awesome!

I'm not 100% sure but i believe livewire and xcal3 use the same software, just the xcal 3 doesnt have gauges with it

There are many good tuners out there. They all tune differently. It all depends on what you want out of your truck.
