5" diamond eye- drones with a load?

Thinking about the 5" turbo back, more for the girthiness and vanity as I understand it's overkill....

I pull a pontoon boat and a 6500 pound camper on the bumper that both manage to load the motor due not to weight, but to windblock...

How much is cab noise increased with the muffled and unmuffled configurations? I had an '07 dodge that I straight piped that had a horrible drone at 55-65.... I don't want that again...

Let me know, those of you that have this exhaust and pull... You got drone?

I just installed a 5" diamond eye with the muffler (turbo back) and it gets REALLY loud at 2500 RPMs and sounds really "slapping" noise if you will at 3500. But sounds really good to me, I tow heavy alot too, but havent towed alot with the new exhaust. My temps are about 100 degrees cooler than my 4" silverline, but overall impressed with the exhaust! I would definently go with a muffler in your situation, but as for drone you can hardly hear it if at all.

Ive got the diamon eye 5" and tow somewhat regularly. And I cant say Ive ever been annoyed by the tone or volume of the truck. Can you hear the truck? Ya sure but is it a head pounding drone...not even close. Love the system and love the truck!

'head pounding drone' is what I have to avoid, lest I get the "So, you took perfectly good stuff off of this thing, and now it makes this terrible noise, why would you do that?" conversation with the comptroller/wife.... I'm sure you guys understand.. Good input!

I understand totally..........I too had worried about the same. After a trip over the Continental Divide I heard no such complaints....But the boy in the back seat sure did love the sound in the Eisenhower tunnel!!!

For the life of me I cant remeber. But I will find out today. Cant say enough about what a great system this was to install. Only difficulty was getting the first peice wiggled up into and around to get to the turbo! But after that all was good. If my truck goes away today, my next truck would get the exact same system.
And it is cool to have guys stop and listen to your idleing truck and comment about it sounding like a airplane...(in truth is sound like the e.p.u. (extrenal power unit))
