Another tailgate Question.......

I have read a lot about switching an 08 tailgate to my 05 but how about the other way? I have a guy that might switch me tailgates bu how will it look and what will I need to make my gate fit his truck? Thanks Dustin

You need a bracket to make his fit yours so I would thin you need a bracket to make yours fit his but I've not heard of anyone outing the older gate on a newer truck that's a good question.

His truck needs the older style hinge on the drivers side. That's it

when you switch tailgates give him your left hinge (mounted to the bed) and he needs to give you his left hinge and thats it

what years for the super duty style swap? Will a 2010 tailgate swap the same way?

I believe 99-07 swap straight across, no hinge mods. 08-up swap straight across with each other. The only time you have to modify the hinge is when you take an 08-up down to the 99-07 year models.

sweet i dont mind a hinge i just found a 2010 for sale on craigslist, just was curious if all the 2012 to 08 were the same just hinge mod
