It's been a long time but, the billet wheels for the hybrids are here. I will have them in hand by weds. and will be building turbos by tuesday next following week. I have a limited supply right now and will be getting more, but that could take alittle longer. I have a total of 12 wheels which two have been spoken for all ready, so 10 is what I have. I'm taking orders on them now, so if you want one let me know, I will be running out of these fast. I will update how many I have left on this thread, untill I get the web site up.
These turbos have not been tested but, I have done the numbers on them and they are little monsters. As I get these out to testers and sell these the reveiws will start to come in and they will be great.
Just for members that may not know the HYBRID is a 64.7mm/88mm .58a/r billet wheel will flow more than stage 1 but little less than stage 2, spool up will be quicker and have less lag then stage 1 and 2. Will work with stock injectors, programing, tunes, and injectors up to 175.
Cost is 1200.00 + 400.00 refundable core and shipping.
700.00 puts you on waiting list and rest due when contacted for shipping.
Thanks for your support and I know this turbo will be great, I will not dissapoint. :icon_ford: MAD
Great news Adrian! I'm glad to hear that things are still rockin' and rollin' in the MAD world of the 6oh! :thumb: I also know of a few people who have been desperately waiting on these to get done.
Yeeaahh...I'm pretty sure you wont have any trouble getting rid of the 10 available wheels. While this specific turbo may have not been "proven" yet, I think it is safe to say that all of your other turbos have proven themselves to be performers and you have definitely proven yourself so people know you will stand behind your stuff. Therefore, I think these will go like hot cakes man. I know I'm excited to hear what they do.
I have 3 stage ones left from 8 that I had. Just keeping everone posted, on amount. Sold 1 hybrid out of the 10, Thanks, will have shop set up next week and should be able to handle all the orders I recieve, as long as I can get wheels in.:liar:
These are made from used turbos. So however many blades are on your turbine wheel is how blades one of these turbos will have unless of course you work something out to swap wheels, which I know he can do sometimes. The compressor wheel is billet and has 12 blades (6 long and 6 short) just like the stock turbo does. Just like the Stage 1 turbos the bearings and seals are all replaced and the housings cleaned, blasted, and painted clear with hi temp enamel.
I'll get with Todd to see where he is with the website, can't wait to get mine!
even if it means have to take the Stage 1 out and go thru the installation all over again!
I can't wait to get this going. I think this time I'm gonna hook to the big trailer and load the tractor. I'll give it a shot, then we'll see if Bill can make some time for me to spin the rollers at PHP one more time.
watching to see the numbers, This is the turbo I have been waiting to see. This will decide what way I am going with the PIG. we are 2 weeks into the motor build.....
I'm down to 4 Hybrids, just keeping updated on the supply I have. I will post pictures of new stage 1 and hybrid on this post. As always thanks for your support.
Wait till you see the numbers they hit. By the way my new set up for now is going to be a stage 2 with billet wheel, running the ported manifold I'm making and 175/75. I think that I will be able to run the injectors without defueling them. I want to see what kind of numbers I can get. I think I might take this set up tp TSD for chris to live tune, with Nate and the stage 3. I think I might be able to pull off the 500 tow vehicle.
Of course I'll keep you all posted, the hybrid will be same as the stage 2, as far as boost, it will hit 30-32 psi very fast and then hold at 29-30. With some tuning should hit 35psi and hold at 30-32psi. The stage 3 hits 44-45psi of boost and holds it the whole way thru. But needs tuning to make it lite off faster than it does now, Nate is the only one running it right now and Mitch once he gets his truck sorted will be running it. I plan a road trip with Nate for live tuning at TSD. I know I'll be there with my stage 2, and he will have stage 3, but he has the injectors for stage 3 right now. I'm not done with the stage 2 and think it's a great turbo for street with plenty of power if needed. So I'll wait on the side lines and then It will be my turn next year to fire off some big numbers. Depending on my turbo sales will be the funds I have to make the MAD truck nasty. How that answers some questions. Thanks
coming from a guy who has been running non vgt's for over 3 years...i'm very interested to see how this hybrid makes my truck run compared to the 64mm non vgt i'm runnin now. i've got 190/75's...so i'll let everyone know how the hybrid runs with this injector.
Holy batmowheel, I just got my shippment in and here's some pictures, these little babies are going to out flow a cast 4088 wheel for sure. The wheel is lighter, I will begin use in the hybrid, and in stage 2 as an upgrade. This should be alot of fun, and MAD.:woot:
I took picture next to cast 4088 wheel to get an idea of these bad boys. Also installed it in a gt4088 housing which is stage 2 to get an Idea.
I love what I do, it has been fun building these turbos and coming up with MAD ideas.
