Sct programmers. Which one?

So I am looking to purchase a sct device next.
Which one would you recommend ?

Sct Sf3
Sct X3

Or innovative diesel's 3015 version which comes with preloaded custom tunes? If I go this route are the tunes custom written to my peramiters and can the be uploaded onto my computer if I choose to use another writers programs for future use?

The sf3 is the 3015. It comes with canned tunes (3) and you can put 3 custom tuines on it as well.

I run the SCT X3, and I run Innovatives tunes now.

The differences:
SF3 - 3 canned, 3 custom files
X3 - 3 Custom files only
3015 - IDPs canned files (as best as I understand it).
Livewire - is the monitor/tuner, and has recently been discontinued because of its limitations.

The sf3 Has no canned tunes but will hold custom tunes

The x3/ 3015. Comes with canned tunes and can accept 3 custom tunes

The x3/ 3015 from Id comes with innovatives custom tunes.


If I was going to get custom tunes anyways and don't really care about the canned tunes. Unless you guys think they are a worth while purchase. Then the sf3 is more bang for bucks?

Negative, the X3 holds no canned files. The SF3 holds canned files from SCT.

The 3015 is IDPs canned files, out of a converted SF3. (Anarchy is a canned version of X-Race)

Im running a X3 with matts SRL custom tune and i love it

The newer X3 will only hold 3 custom tunes. The SF3 #3015 will hold 5 canned and 3 custom tunes. The SCT from Innovative is #3015ID (notice ID), this tuner has custom canned tunes written from Innovative Diesel, they are designed for basic mods like exhaust and intake. You get 5 custom/canned tunes and room for 3 custom tunes from whom ever you choose. If your running bigger injectors or turbo, then Innovatives 3015ID may not suit your needs.


If you plan on going with custom tunes, forget about the SF3, once you try custom tunes, you will almost never use the canned tunes again.
