Buying SCT Tuner Need Advice, Thanks!

Hey guys! I just needed some quick advice, I'm kind of a noob when it comes to tuners. I searched the threads to try and answer my questions but I didn't really find a solid answer. Whats the difference between SCT SF3 and SCT X3 tuners? I am looking for the best MPG (Daily Driving), I don't do much heavy towing except for a little fishing boat nothing serious. Then a secondary tune for performace would be fun. Or does a custom tune provide the best of both worlds? Whos tune should i go with? I hear alot about Eric and Matt how do i contact these great guys? My 6.0l only has a turbo back exhaust and egr delete, no studs/gaskets. I currently have a superchip on it with the performace setting, seems to do decent but i feel I can do Tons better with SCT. I have a very light foot also, I tend to just chug along.

First question, the difference between the X3 and SF3, is that the SF3 holds three generic tunes as well as the custom files. I only run custom so the X3 was the logical choice. I feel the custom files are better for the truck, and if there is anything you don't like about it, you can work with your tuner to fix it.

As for you tune selections:
For the DD, I run my highest HP tune, and keep my foot out of it. Thats how most drivers see it too. For reference, stock with me was 14.8 mpg on the interstate. With my street file (which allows for towing upto 8K) I see around a 10% improvement. With my X-Race file (no towing) I see around a 14-15% improvement.

Have your tunes written with the stock TTY bolts, by your tuner.

As for tuners:
Order your SCT from the tuner that you want the files written by. They are usually a package deal that way. Their websites have email addresses.

Do you have a monitor on that truck?

What to look for when buying used SCT for 6.0

Start with this thread, it's very good. I just got my SCT and i'm running the canned tunes right now but I will be getting Vivian's tunes first and then trying others. I have been told the highest HP canned tune gives you the best MPG if you keep your foot out of it.

Okay I see, so the Highest HP tunes = Best MPG if you keep your foot out of it? How do I reach Matts tunes?

Steps:

1. Use the search button
2. If that fails you, Google.
