Oil cooler Question

I bought a 04 used with 175k on it. I got all service records, never any head work done. It did have the oil cooler replaced at 79k in 2006. I was wondering would this be the updgraded cooler? is their anyway to tell? I do have a Scangauge II monitoring FWT EOT never a delta more than 6-8* FICM is right at 48. My boost is usually around 5-8 PSI with no load and driving normal if I get on it usually hits the 15-17 PSI range. Is this normal? Just looking for some advise. I have never owned a diesel before and trying to avoid a suprise head job. I do plan on doing it as soon as Uncle same decides to pay me for the injuries he so gracialy allowed me to get on the battlefield.
Thanks in Advance for any info or help.

Oil cooler replacement happens often. Just keep monitoring your eot ect. No more than 15* separation. Boost is normal
