Cat and muffler delete

Ive got a 2004 f250 and I was wanting to run a straight pipe. Do I have to buy cat/muffler delete or can I just buy regular pipe and do it myself?

You can, the delete pipes are just straight pipes. If/when you do, use the band clamps instead of the u-type, seal up better and make removal easier.
