Innovative tunes
Which Innovative tunes do you guys like? I think I have decided on the Xtreme Race tune, but I don't know what other ones I would want. My Xcal 3 should be here on Monday and I'll have to let him know which tunes I want.

The Economy tune is a waste of time. Tow aggressive, that same tune with turbo braking and the Street tune are good to start. You will have to pay extra for an xtreme tune.
I am planning on getting the Xtreme Street file this week. I hear there isn't much difference between that and the Xtreme Race except for the shifting and street manners. I know my findings have been that the regular Street file does not even begin to push the safety envelope. I'm afraid to try it for towing, but I know it would do a great job. The tranny however may not appreciate it! |

When you get the SCT the first thing you do is read the strategy. You then email your strategy to the tuner and he will send the proper tunes for your truck. If you have done something else to the truck and can't change it back, you may have to go to Ford first and get the most recent flash. |

I have IDPs Xtreme Race, Xtreme Street, Aggresive Tow, and the Econo.
The race I save for the track mostly. Honestly I don't like the way it shifts under partial throttle. And I drive way to much stop and go traffic for that. It shifts awesome under full throttle like it is designed to do! My time in my sig was from my old race tune, Friday I hope to be in the high 13s with my adjusted tune I recieved from Eric last week. I daily drive with the Street one. I get 11-13 city and upto 17-18 on the highway MPGs and it is a blast to drive and will take most of what is out there. Turned mid 14s on the track with it. I also will tow light (empty small trailers) with it. 1000 - 5000 lbs I use stock or... I use the Aggresive Tow. Definitly use it for anything 5k or above. The engine braking is nice on the downhille. I haven't run the Econo yet, never really have driven far enough to try it. I will be using it to drive to the NC Southern Smoke Show in November. Actually Eric asked me to run Econo down and the Street back to compare numbers. Hope this helps some. I can't say enough good things about Eric's tunes. |
