Watermeth or injectors? And why?

I always say injectors as long as you have the fuel system to support them and it is what you want to do with your truck. The question now though is gonna be what size?? And that will depend on what your goals and uses for the truck are. I wouldnt suggest anything larger than 190s. I like 190s because the spill ports are able to be left open so you get great idle and you dont have to worry about hpo issues.
As far as water meth goes, I am just not really a fan yet of it. It seems like something I wouldn't mind trying but I am just not sure about using it every day. I have also "heard" (not ever experienced this myself) that guys can have problems with the system draining some water into the intake manifold and hydrolocking the motor. I would have to look into these issues further to be able to talk more intelligently but my general rule of thumb of doing power adders is to do something that has a power gain ALL the time. JMO. |

Can't answer unless you give us your goals for the truck. And what is a MTW GT40?

So you have the Stage 2 on stock sticks, so how much more do you want out of the truck (That setup just put down 485RWHP)?
Here's the limiting factors, you will basically cross 500RWHP with either a Water/Meth or injectors at this point. How far do you want to go? Any injector upgrade will put you at that next level, question is do you want to start looking at transmission work that will start to show signs of wear for doing so? The Stage 2 will probably clean up 190cc/100s ok (estimate ~540RWHP), may not be the perfect match for that turbo. 175cc/75s would be my guess of a significant upgrade in power (estimate 525rwhp) and match the turbo better, as long as you don't tow heavy with it, and get the tunes rewritten. 155cc/35 or 50% would be my choice if you still want to tow (estimate 500RWHP). Though you will need an aftermarket tow file that pulls fuel with any choice you make. You've got the supporting modifications for any of those injectors, its a matter of you wanting to start upgrading the transmission for the higher HP build. I don't know enough about Water/Meth at this time to propose taking that route. |

![]() I'm thinking 155's would be nice with that turbo and not too expensive if you go with Jesse Warren's Stock plus at $500. They work out to about 153cc IIRC. I wouln't bother with meth/water injection unless you have an egt problem you can't tame. Last edited by PGreenSVT; 06-13-2012 at 06:47 AM. |
