could i tell if i have different injectors?

Hi, I bought a 04 f350 crewcab long bed with a 6.0. Anyway it had been modded by the prior owner. Was just wondering if I could have noticed if the injectors have been upgraded when they were out? Myself and my diesel tech couldn't tell any difference when he was doing my heads. Was just curios, I have a super chip 1805 on performance tune and on first mild accel, cold or warm, it'll fall on its face and blow gray smoke only once or twice then not again till next day.Never did it before, stock or with the xcal 2 I had. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It's probably the tune doing that. If you had upgraded injectors even with 155s and stock tuning you will notice an excessive amount of smoke, that's normally the giveaway

I think you would have to flow test them to find exact numbers?

It does smoke easily, just by reving even. Just assumed it was tune.

The somoke is probably just the tune. Especially revving it. The turbo needs some kind of a load to spool up. One thing that might help you know is to look at the injector nozzle and if they are aftermarket injectors the nozzle size will amost always be larger than stock, and the percent that the nozzles are larger than stock should be imprinted on the nozzle. The only real way to tell for sure if you have aftermarket injectors is to pull them out and flow test.

Thanks, guys. Im thinking they are stock but starting to lean towards a possible sticking injector? It still seems to drive good, other then initial take off on first start. And its a beast when I get on it, got to love that! Just doesn't seem the same since I got rid of the sct tuner. Prob just me. Starts quickly also. Even cold weather. And I did put a new ficm in last October.
