PHP FICM Tune

so just recieved my remote programmer from PHP last night so I took on the project of installing it today.

let me say first thats an incrediably easy install. very simple and easy to follow instuctions both printed out and on screen.

so I'm currently trying the Atlas 40 which is a 40 hp gain because thats what I'm planning on running full time. the problem is its very hard for me to tell if everything is working like it should. I know 40 isnt much of a gain but I'd figure I'd feel some good difference. its just hard to tell.

is there any indication that it was done correctly and working? or is it something they I would just have to know on my own?

Are you running stock ECM tune or aftermarket? You won't feel much if anything with a aftermarket ECM tune with the Atlas 40. I only felt better throttle response when towing the camper with SCT custom tow and Atlas 40. Unloaded didn't feel much.

Now Atlas 80 and Hercules with a SCT custom race tune, I can feel a little more power, better throttle response and more smoke when hard off the line.

Running Atlas 40 with TSD SPD tuning for me made quite a noticeable difference in performance. I'm still determining MPG gains which are getting better and better.

I would like to know how the Atlas 40 does with the SPD because I really like that tune the best for everyday driving but I would just like a little better fuel economy if I could.

WELL....I just drove up from South Carolina refueled at Exit 21 off I-85N. I didn't get to top it off to the cap cause of the $100 refueling cost cap using my card. I got to my house in VA 500+ miles later with a 1/4 tank still left to go.

Well I would say it definitely sounds like it is getting you better mileage for sure. Was that on the Atlas 40??

Also does anyone know which FICM flash is suppose to give the best mileage of the 4?? I am curious if its like the ECM tunes where the performance flashes typically give the best mileage.

Eitherway glad to hear you got a real nice bump even if it was only for one trip. Hopefully it keeps up for you so you can get a calculated number. BTW for those $100 limits, you can always just let the pump complete the transaction and you can go again.

I agree I still need more miles and MPG numbers to say how much I have really gained.

I hate having to start all over...LOL I think it actually kicked off and I just ran it down to the $100. It's nice fueling up at $3.39 a gallon!! LOL

not to turn this into a diesel price thread but $4.32 here so be happy with yours lol. On the plus side its cheaper than gas.
