turbo whistle??????????

I am new to the deisel world and I wanted to know how can I make my turbo whistle louder. I have an 04 6.0 with cold air intake and a bully dog tuner???????

If you put an aftermarket exhaust system on it.... prepare for take-off! The turbo will sing like a jet plane. Straight pipe it (no cat or muffler) and it will sing even louder. The 6.0's sound sweet when straight piped, but be prepared because they are loud when you get the pedal down.

and a stock exhaust? buy an aftermarket system or just straight pipe the muffler and it will whistle dixie lol..even better straight pipe the cat as well. (i just pulled the muffler and tailpipe off to see if i liked it and OMG..insane..and let the black begin to BLOOOOOWWWWW!

I got a buddy with one and it's got straight piped duals. Sounds pretty good when he gets on it and all you here is a whistle at idle. Only other performance mod he has is his intake. I think his name on here if F250ghost. It wasn't as loud (the whistle or the exhaust) before he cut out the mufflers.

ok but what is the deal with taking out the cat converter, come inspection time will it affect my inspection, I live in texas and I dont think we have an emmisions test so why dose my truck have a cat????

all of them have a cat. that way they can sell the vehicle in every state. the manufacturing plant doesnt know the final destination of every vehicle. it is also an epa thing, and removing it is technically illegal.
even if your state doesnt smog diesels now, they will in the near future. so buy a cat delete kit and keep yours just in case you will need it in the future.
