Modding a pmax.
All this Mad turbo talk going on has got me thinking about ways to maybe improve my pmax. I an in no way an expert on turbos, but one thing I was wondering was since the turbine housing if the stocker and pmax are the same has any one put a 13 blade stocker turbine wheel on a pmax? Do you thing it might increase spool any? Plus I could get rid of the whistle (was fun but I'm over it now). So tell me what you guys think. Oh and adrian if read this andyou want to work with one and see what you might be able to do my pmax is out and I'm willing to see what you can do with it.

I have a PMAX showing up today and was thinking the same thing but I might try the PMAX as is first and go from there. I also have a Bank intercooler kit to install just trying to figure out which one to do first. I don't want to do both because I want to watch mileage numbers as well as IAT2 readings and EGT readings. most likely the intercooler kit first then the PMAX. but the 13 blade should help with spooling, not sure on how it will affect EGT's though.

Yea Adrian also got massive lag when he installed his Banks intercooler. If it were me well I would just stay away from Banks and go Spearco as I really like how huge their end caps are to allow the use of the full intercooler core but if you already have the Banks and want to keep it, I would recommend just using your stock pipes and getting some 3.5 to 3in boots for it so you can use them with that intercooler.

I don't have the info in front of me, but the powermax turbine is not the same as the stocker. I believe the exducer is slightly bigger. I'll try to find the post when I get home later. Somebody listed the actual size differences.
