WHAT MADPOWERSTROKE DOES FOR THE HE** OF IT
Hello,members I bought an 03 turbo for cheap and really didn't want it.There was a member on here Mazesecond that was looking for one for a long time.He was completely crazy over having one, well I contacted him and we made a deal to trade with a little cash and his turbo.I was going to rebuild the 03 and do the trade, well he ended up totalling his truck, had pictures on here.Before he totalled his truck I info'ed him that I put a little MADDNESS in the 03 turbo just for the he** of it no charge, just wanted to see what it would do.He later asked me if his friend could have the turbo and same deal,and I said sure.His friend is another member on here SixO~Stroker, and we made arrangements. Well I will let everyone on here a rare chance to see some of my MADDNESS, and maybe it will answer some of the questions I get. I'm at work right now but when I get home I will post the pictures I took as I did this mod on this turbo. Now here's the MOD:: I took a stock 03 turbo,rebuilt it and fit a 58mm/88mm compressor wheel, fully polished the inside and inlet of compressor. Close toleranced the compressor wheel, to housing, and did a mod to backing plate to fit the 88mm exducer.Now if you look at the finshed turbo compreesor I could have left it alone, but I also back cut the silence ring, to open it for a intake whistle, and help air flow. He will be the only one to run this type of set up, it truely is a one of a kind. Got bored and had some parts laying around, and yes I do know what it is capable of, I ran the numbers. It's not a stage 1,but than again it is a MAD custom turbo that will blow away a stocker and I just wanted to make for the he** of it. This is the same type of work I do to all my turbo builds.
