You'll gain minimal performance with any aftermarket CAI, and the whistle comes from the turbine side (exhaust side) of the turbo. You want more whistle, get an '03 turbo.

He's right. I have a K&N FIPK on mine, but it's a early 04' and the whistle is nearly deafening. I love it.

For performance and whistle, you would do best with an S&B intake, and freeing up the exhaust with a 4" turbo back system, deleting both the cat and muffler. The most cost effective, would be simply straight-piping your stock system, and pick up a 3.5" downpipe, and the S&B intake mentioned above.

Reason I say the S&B, its the only one I've read about on these forums that still filters enough to keep the dirt and junk out of your turbo. For my build, filtration is everything so I keep the stock airbox/filter.

If you want crazy whistle, you get either an '03 turbo with pedestal and refit it to yours, or you go with a Powermax which sounds a lot like one.
