Anybody using the Turbo Brake on tow tunes?

I'm having Mrs. Vivian whip up an aggressive tow tune with the turbo brake built in. Anybody using the turbo brake on their truck? Any adverse side effects? Do you like it? I asked her to build it into my tune. Just curious how you guys like using it. Thanks y'all!

I just got her tow tune w jb,have not tied it yet,however I have been running erics tow with brake, I like it definetly helps slow me down.

04 350 DRW CC LB,4:10,245/75/17,tires 4X4..Coolant filter. CTS.Stage II AFE.EGR Delete,Zoodad ,regulated return, ,Arp,OemHG,AD150,WPE ported int,58FICM,190/30 Injec,05 coil conversion.WPE/KC 1.5 turbo,2011 rear leafs,13 tailgate,flight fab trac bars.2014 Power/folding/Extend mirrors.

I use it all the time. Best thing they ever put into a tow tune.

Mine will hold 40mph going down a 6% grade with no foot on the brake

Completely agree. It's amazing while towing. Especially if you spot the 5-0 and gotta slow down real quick...

I know Erics works all the time when the tow tune is loaded,does VIvians only work with tow haul on?

Please forgive my ignorance here but what is this turbo brake you all speak of?? I have heard of devices like Jake brakes and what not and I thought they were mechanical devices that did this sort of thing and that tunes that had this in them simply enhanced their braking ability but it seems here that tunes can be written to have this sort of feature with out the mechanical device??

The turbo brake just closes the vanes on the VGT to increase exhaust flowing over the turbine, which in turn increases boost. Since you have higher boost going into the cylinders and you're not using it for combustion (foot off the accelerator), then the motor is just compressing all that extra air and then letting it out. And then in turn the extra boost is extra exhaust which spins up the turbo more.
Works just like a jake brake in the sense of using exhaust and boost, but goes about it differently.

I wish I could use this though.
Like Doofus did a while ago on his Fummins, I've always wanted to get a set of Jake's to put on top of my heads, but it'd be absurd trying to fit them in there.
