replacing stock muffler

will it help to replace your stock muffler with a good after market one.i found one on ebay for 149.99 i am looking for better fuel milage and of now it has no mods. 2004 6.0 F250 4x4 i use it in my buss.for towing a 24 ft with 6 to 8 lawn mowers and i put about 200 mi. a day.i am getting around 14 mpg.

that's more than i was getting stock !! i'm sure it will help a bit, not sure how much. i have a full turbo back system and mods, so i'll let someone with more experience on this matter chime in...

For about double that you can get a full turbo back kit from Farmboys Diesel. With a kitty delete. My '04 gets about 14 in town and 16 on the highway but I have a heavy foot and training wheels which effects my MPGs.

yah - you're truck won't be much louder in the cab without it... and muuuuch cheaper than $150 to put a mufflef delete in...

or you could get a full 4" turbo back stainless from Gus at Farm Boys Diesel for $345 + shipping!!!!
