Edge Insight: no TFT

I've been lurking around here for awhile and have learned a huge amount of information. Thanks! Recently purchased and installed the Insight to monitor my '05 6.0, but it doesn't display any trans temp. All others are fine. I assume since the ballpark temp is transmitted to the idiot gauge on the dash, the insight should reflect the temp digitally. I'm not missing a necessary add on, am I. Thanks for your responses!

I'm pretty sure it should display TFT. Sometimes my insight would be missing some pids after installing it. I would plug it into a different truck and then back into mine and then the pids would be back. I don't know why but this always seemed to work for me.

Maybe make sure your insight has the latest update as well.

Did you touch one of the pid's displayed ( on cts ) and then it should give you the option to change the pid and look for the tft and touch it and then it will prompt you thru to make it change. That is if you'r just not seeing it on the screen.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I did the full update prior to installing, and have set the pid to display tft; all I get is "...". Just wanted to make sure I didn't need to install something else. Guess I'll have to call Edge to find out what they suggest. Thanks very much for the input!

Yea my CTS definately displays TFT in the small pids on the 5pid option. I just ran out and checked. Edge should be able to help.

My CTS displays it. However, my TFT sensor is bad, so I get random numbers that jump all over the place. According to the records section, my TFT got up to around 375.

Thought I'd post the solution, since Edge wasn't able to identify the problem or make any suggestions. Somehow, when configuring the unit initially, I managed to answer "yes" when asked if it is a manual transmission. Went back through, answered "no", had to reboot the CTS, and there is the TFT temp! Very happy with the Insight!
