Gauge install questions

Since a gauge install is both interior and exterior I figured I'd choose a happy median and put it in performance parts. And ways I just got my glow shift 4 pillar last week and I've been meaning to install it however do I need to weld a bung to my intake elbow or will drilling and tapping be well enough off? Also I'm going to install my pyro in the pass side up-pipe (since I did egr delete 2 months ago I figured the bolts shouldn't give me a hard time removing the up pipe) same question then weld a bung or just tap?

drill and tap the intake elbow and drill and tap the driver side exhaust manifold toward the very rear and that should do the trick

The link from Lilpooh is awesome and as scparrish noted, be sure and put the EGT probe in the drivers side manifold at the elbow portion. Also keep the wire coming out of the probe straight and make the wire curve up gradually as sharp bends in the wire can effect your readings.
