Cat delete cost

When I purchased my used '05 CC PSD the previous owner had done some mods which included a cat delete in the MBRP exhaust. The dealership required a cat be installed to make the resale legal. Just found out it will cost me $150 to get rid of the cat.

I'm thinking that this would not be cost effective. Thoughts?

I went out bought a 3.5 in ball flange connector to bolt to the down pipe, picked up a 3.5 ID to 4 in. ID connector from napa and bought 10 ft of 4 in aluminized pipe and cut to fit and used factory axle hump and welded together, for a straight pipe system it was a total of 50 and change! And man does sound great!

You could get the diamond eye off road pipe for $37.84 at performance truck products. I assume this would bolt right up to the mbrp kit. You might have to get the gasket separately, I don't know if it comes with the pipe.
