Which turbo upgrade?

Has anyone looked at the various turbo upgrades for the 6.0 and compared the features? I'm thinking about a spread sheet that would list items like compressor dimensions, expected boost gains, EGT improvements, costs, etc. If anyone has done the research, thanks in advance. If not, what turbo characteristics are of interest?

Look at MTW turbos... all on the front page of this forum by the looks of it.

I dont think anyone has done anything like what you are referring to here. Or at least that I have seen anyways. I'll see if I can put something together for ya. The thing here is that there are only (currently to my knowledge) like 7 turbos that are VGT for the powerstroke and if you go the non-VGT route the list can get very long with all the compressor, turbine, and housing options that are available.

I am curious to see what you can put together Nate,. If I had the time, I would attempt, but I do not. I think it will b hard for a spread sheet to really encompass all of the important information and factors that are needed to predict the performance of a turbo. If you limited it to VGTs that would make it a lot easier. The nonVGT world has just so many options, literally hundreds, for compressor and turbine sizes for inducers and exducers, a/r ratios, wastegates, turbine and compressor inlets and outlets, center sections and bearings... With pedestal and adapter, you can put just about any nonVGT on a 6.0, how it will perform is more of an educated guess.

Yea for sure Adam. It is very easy to start adding subjective stuff. I would just stick with sizes, price, and numbers from what has already been posted. I am sure it would have to be a working document because the thing is that probably very few would agree with it so it may not be very useful.
