Tuning question

I know the 6.0l can handle 4k rpms and some might argue that it can handle more but I don't want to rev it that high. With the X3 do I need to have who builds the tunes to adjust the shift points to where I want them or can I set a rev limit when I load the custom tune? I would prefer any of the tunes to shift no higher than 3500 rpm. I'm expecting my tuner on Wednesday. I've already got some tunes waiting to load.

The tuner would have to set the shift points. Changing the rev limit or the set points with the SCT before flashing can cause some funky things to happen.

However, it only shifts that high when you go WOT, so you have control over it with your right foot.

If you feel the need for an RPM limit to be hard set, contact the writer of your tunes and have them set them in your custom files. As stated, in some files it has caused issues. Your best bet is to control them with the right foot, and once you have a feel for them you'll find they are pretty controllable for an automatic.
