innovative ficm tune

Yesterday I installed the innovative ficm tune on my 06, I am running the srl+ tune and I am quite pleased with the results, Less smoke at low boost, overall less turbo lag and a solid increase in power under WOT, by the seat of pants o meter. just seems to run smoother and stronger, it was exactly what my truck needed, basically made up for the increased lag from my powermax.

Just thought i'd sharebecause there is lots of threads on PHP ficm tunes, I went with innovative because I dont plan on changing tunes all the time so I figured just tune the ficm and leave it, plus saved a hundred bucks if I need to tow ill load a tow tune. The tuner is basically a superchics flashpaq with the ficm tunes loaded.

so you went through PHP and just got the FCIM tune? I'm a little confused on thier website as to what to look at for just their most basic and simple FCIM tune so I can gain like 50hp. I'm sorry I know you just explained all of that but I'm wanting to get this done on mine so I'm just clairifying

No Eric @ Innovative has his own company and writes his own FICM tunes!


PHP is a different company and the OP did not get their tune

i got mine through innovative. It is just a one time thing. they send u a handheld tuner and u plug it in upload the tuning to your ficm and your done, php has a handheld with four different tunes up to 100 hp, innovative is 300 bucks and php is 400

PHP also has a Portable handheld tuner that costs $150...They send you the portable tuner, you upload the tune, and send them back the tuner

I got ya now. so if I choose to maybe do the PHP portable one time thing, do I need to make any changes to my truck before doing so? and what about changes after I've done this? also what kinda of increase am I gonna see from the portable tuner?

Increasd power, improved response, 1-2 MPG better, better/ stronger feel through the power band. All great stuff!!!!

what were your egt's on a WOT run??? is it smokier before the turbo spools than before??? and does it lessen your turbo lag with the Pmax???

sorry for all the questions but i have been considering getting a ficm tune but want someones opinion with a setup close to what i have.
