Question Another Exhaust Thread...

Ok Guys & Gals,

I've been eyeballing a couple of different exhaust systems. With there being so many options of 4"/5" piping, cat delete, muffler delete, 3.5" down pipe/ 4" down pipe, how the hell is a guy to make a choice? I have put a couple of links below that show what I have pretty much narrowed it down to.

MagnaFlow 15960 - MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-15960/?rtype=10

Silverline Exhaust FS108 - Silverline T304 Stainless Exhaust Systems - Overview - SummitRacing.com
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SVR-FS108/

Banks Power Gale Banks Engineering 48788 - Banks Monster Single Exhaust Systems - Overview - SummitRacing.com
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GB...ComboContents/

At the moment, I dont have any big plans for major modifications/upgrades but I will in the not too distant future. Basically Im looking for any and all input on the options above in order to help make a decision.

Thanks in advance...

I have the silverline. Its definitely one of the better sounding exhausts. Just dont straight pipe it. The 6.0 needs a muffler to sound good, otherwise its too loud and sounds like crap. So raspy w/o a muffler it sounds terrible to me.

I like the silverline since its a little more bark than the Banks which might as well be a 4" stock exhaust.

Banks is good for towing since its as quiet as stock. Silverline is a good mix, its quiet enough to tow with(i have a trailer hooked 5 days a week) but has enough noise to keep it interesting.

Friend of mine has a 4" magnaflow on his truck, good quality, little louder and more raspy than my silverline. About as loud as id ever want in a truck that sees a lot of seat time.

I have the banks monster 4 inch exhaust turbo back with cat delete, 3.5'' down pipe. The muffler itself is a very nice peice. I went to this setup over my previous diamond eye straight piped setup. Best move i ever made. it is very quiet though, even without the cat its just hardly louder than stock and a little deeper due to the 4'' diameter and the muffler is straight through. No more loud drone at 2,000 rpms which is great. Love my banks exhaust, just dont buy tuners from them

I have a MBRP 5" from the turbo back with a straight through muffler and love it, only thing I'm changing is i'mgoing to delete the muffler so it's a little louder and low speeds. But at high speeds it sounds awesome, I'll maybe take a video tonight

Way too many choices to narrow it down. Im thinking that I will need to actually hear a few different systems and try to make a decision then. Thanks for eveyones responses...

I've got a video of my truck being dynoed at Hunter's Performance... I'll go back home and see if I can crop the video to just show you what it sounds like at WOT. I've got the 5" turbo back MBRP exhaust and love it.

Sorry, I wasn't able to crop the video and YouTube won't let me post it (it's too big). However, here's a video of my truck giving a few short revs and some driving around with Adrian's new turbo - should give you an idea of how it sounds.
