Droneless exhaust

I'm looking to get a full turbo back for my 6L and was wondering if there are any other brands that sport some kind of drone deadening design. Banks does, but... yea. My last truck had a Gibson and I couldn't stand the drone while towing.

Not sure. I know my silverline 4" turbo back with muffler for my 7.3 wasn't any louder then stock in the cab and no drone.

Spintech mufflers modified one of theirs to fit my 7.3L. they said that a dual out would be quieter inside the cab. theyre designed to be quiet at a constant rpm, then get louder when you stand on it. I dont have any drone, and it is actually quieter than stock when cruising. At full throttle it is a little louder and deeper.

My silverline with out cat/ with muff tb dos not drone. It's really almost to quiet.

I have the Banks system for the same exact reason. It has zero drone. I also used to have a Gibson exhaust on my Dodge and it drove me crazy at highway speeds.

How loud is the Banks at high throttle and idle? I'm looking for an exhaust to lower EGTs, but I have no interest in making any more noise than stock.

To be honest with you - my MBRP 4" turbo back is WAY quieter that I thought it would be -- I have the high flow muffler on it -- the ONLT time you can hear a difference over stock is going 70-80 down the highway with the radio off, no wind, and the wife and kids not making any noise - any one of those things is loud enough to cover any "drone" with my exhaust... and sounds good with the windows down

That's the problem, though--I do a LOT of highway driving since I live 40 miles away from where I generally work, so the extra noise happens where it would bother me most. I'm super sensitive to any noise. I spent a week trying to shut up the door creaking finally ending up bending the doors to shut them up. I'm a little anal. LOL

I have a Volant turbo back and it sounds great, and ZERO drone.....I design exhaust for a living so this was the first thing I looked at when I purchased mine. I highly recomend Volant....and its 304SS high polished so it will last longer then your truck will!

i have the mbrp also with the muffler and it's great. no drone at all inside the cab. not annoyingly loud. just sounds good.
