Lowering stock EGT's

Ok, my 6.0 is bone stock. (Other than 4" lift, winch etc). What is a good exhaust setup to lower EGT's. Looks like doing a Full 4" TB system is overkill and might kill my low-end power. I'm thinking of doing a 4" mandrel bent Cat-back, and maybe a cat delete pipe. Or should I just do the Cat-back and leave the stock cat?

honestly i would just straight pipe your stock exhaust.... put a cat and muffler delete pipe in her and that should lower it some

what does the stock exhaust straight pipe sound like? anyone have that set up?

Cat back's a waste of money. Just for show really. It will help a little but it's really just the same as cutting off the stock system at the cat. If you're gonna do anything do what they said above, cat delete and muffler delete = straight pipe. Or you should be able to find a complete Turbo back system for $250-300 bucks if you search for a deal or PM one of our sponsors. Farmboy's ususally has some deals. Good luck.

why wont you put on a 4inch? If your worried about EGT's?

Ive got the 4 inch TB system from MBRP. No cat, No Muff. Sound Increible. it will turn peoples heads and start so many conversations. Its great. I would never go back.

Ditto on that, except I have the muffler. It gives the truck a good sound that isn't too loud when just cruising but has a nice rap to it when you step on it. With it a little quieter you can really hear the turbo whistle. Love it!!
