3.5" or 4" down-pipe

I'm about to pull the triger on exhaust. Is it worth the possible agony of getting the 4" down-pipe?
Diamond Eye looks to be two pieces. I thought about that helping and using a band clamp to help with clearence.
Anyway I'm going 5" and maybe w/o a muff

It doesn't matter...pick one. IF the 4" is too close or doesn't fit you can't complain. Some people say the 4" ones fit fine other say it hits the fire wall.

I do believe DE gets good reviews for the 4" fitting best.

The 05-07 takes the 4" easily. I believe there is some difference in the 03-04 firewall that makes it a bit tighter. I know that the 4" slides right into my 05 with no problem at all. I also use band clamps throughout my exhaust.

It won't matter one or the other. However, if you are keeping the CAT you will need to go with the 3.5". It doesn't sound like you are, as you are considering dropping the muffler as well.

I like the sound of the 5" system I have, and I'm running a CAT and 3.5" DP.
