powermax question

ok well recently try geting a turbo off ebay long story short i got fubar'ed on it so think i may go with a powermax idk thats why im asking ha i have stock injectors there brand new put in two months ago with my studs gaskets and egr delete kick my self in the butt for not get some 155s or 175s' but any ways how does this run with stock injectors and what can i compare the sound of it too. any input would be great ill post up my mods to to help the info thanks alot..

volant ram air intake
sct with custom tunes innovatives extreme, matts srl lite
swamps 58v ficm with race tune
ad2
up graded banjo's
studs gaskets, egr delete,

Runs fine with stock injectors. Just a touch more lag than stock charger, but a new tune fixed that.

Sounds like an '03 turbo

Ok cool what tune did u go with to take the excess lag out ? And I love my 03 sound and wana keep it but be great to have better turbo for when I upgrade injectors .

I think madpowerstroke(adrian) has come out with a 'durastroke' turbo that so far sounds like it is better than a powermax. I'd consider that route. I think this will bother vendors tho now that there is competition to the powermax and they could see their pmax sales drop. i dunno, jmo.

Yea iv been keeping up with his thread really close but really don't know when he will b mass producing these so in mean time I got find something so I cam drive my truck its been down for 4 weeks n I miss it ha

I am running a Powermax with stock injectors with a Aggtow tune and a Atlas 40 FICM tune from PHP, and its great, no lag.

However, I did notice my EGTs are hotter about 100-125 degrees driving around town and uphills (800-950) I am paranoid and always watching the stupid pryo!

I had some tune re-written and it just made it hotter around town.

Funny thing is even when I'm on it, once boost is up and I hit 1100 it basically stops climing. I hit 90mph pedal to the metal and couldnt hit 1200.

The whistle of the PM is a real head turner! I've had mine turbo on just over a week and I haven't listened to my radio

Other than the increased EGTs around town I am really liking the turbo.

Sweet I think I'm going to go this route I wana hear wat one sounds like thought can't seem to find one on YouTube so if one u guys waith a pmax wana do a sound clip idle and Maby few revs would be Awsome

The sound of the Powermax will definently deliver! I see you have a 5inch exhaust so it will scream.

At Idle I can bearly hear the whistle but 2lb of boost or more...fak..get the earplugs out, lol

Kingranch250, if you are serious about getting a Powermax, I may be looking to sell mine. Has about 7 or 8k miles on it and already has a Batmowheel installed on it. I need to go bigger to work with my sticks. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
