FICM Question

My FICM is fine to my knowledge but cant I get it re-programmed for more performance? How much could I expect to see? Any increase in MPG? Not in a big rush to get this done but if it does what I think it does I would love to start saving for another performance part Any advice on em would be greatly appreciated

Yes you sure can. Innovative Diesel, Power Hungry Performance, and KEM all offer ficm tunes. ID and PHP both offer rentals that they send out, you program your ficm and then send it back to them. I am not sure about KEM. You can also purchase a ficm tuner that way you have all offered programs from the company you choose available at your finger tips at any given time. I purchased one from PHP and couldn't be happier. I noticed better throttle response, more power across all rpm's and I am confident I will see a mpg increase once I keep my foot out of it and log a few miles. Do a search on ficm programming and you will have an entire evening worth of reading material.

Sweet! I like the idea of doing it myself if its not to hard. How complicated is tuning it yourself?

It's just like using an sct. Plug it in, pick desired tune, unplug and you are done.

Awesome, I wonder how much of a difference the "Hercules" FICM tune makes? 150 dollars really isn't bad at all if it does what it says!
